Modeller from Cape Town South Africa

As I am building mainly in 1/72 I am excited to see what is happening on this Forum.

I am 59 yrs old retired Chef that has always had an interest in  Military models from my childhood.

I have only taken up the modeling again in 2008 after a 30yr break.

My main subject matter in building is anything related to WWII Imperial Japanese.

My passion is Naval Seaplanes - Flying boats and small naval craft.

Sometimes I like to build What-if subject matter.

Presently I am a member of the IPMS Club in Cape Town plus a Historical Society - Armored Warfare Interest Group -
Most of my days are spent on the computer keeping updated on the more than 150 Forums and modelling sites I am connected with.

Like you y prefer seaplanes modeling ,Japanese and german planes of 2 ww ,the"Kawanishi family" , Dornier or Blohm and voss planes !!! I'm nearly like you, only taken up in 2007 after more than 30yr break.

On the other hand, I'm at your opposite in ... Canada, but I would prefer living near Cape Town...

I don't do many japanese plane but currently I'm like Peneloppe with Nakajima B5N2 'Kate' color scheme

Hello , welcome here, I hope you will find all details you research for . I think you should have a lot of information from the 150 sites you visit It is really enormous and i understand you spend a lot of time on the web !! I suppose you a a great specialist of japanese planes, and your presence is really enriching for all the members of this forum, especially more for all interested in japanese warfare .

Well, I didn't think so much people would answer you in English (the native language of my neighbours). For my own I am interested in every WWII plane but, alas, as I do not work very quickly, I have still dozens and dozens of models toi build !

I suppose you write in French language, too. It would be more suitable to use it if you want everybody understands you…

Hi, welcome in this forum, I am happy to meet a man who speak in english. It is an occasion for me to improve my english who is not very good... And futhermore, I like the Flying boats and more particularly the BV 222 that I am building (is it the correct term), currently.
